New Product Introduction: Allegro™ Unison hMSCs and Media

Product Update

October 31, 2016

CMM HyperCel™ Cation Exchange Mixed-Mode Chromatography Sorbent

These new sorbents are a versatile tool, able to efficiently remove HCP and aggregates from mAbs, or to separate very close molecules at any scale.

Allegro Unison human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) and media facilitate large scale hMSC expansion and accelerate cell therapy and regenerative medicine development. Used along with Pall® SoloHill microcarriers, Allegro biocontainers and the PadReactor® bioreactor system, these hMSC media and cells assist in expansion of up to billions or trillions of hMSCs efficiently and reproducibly without the need for extensive and costly process development.

Human mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (hMSCs) can be derived from a variety of sources such as adipose tissue, peripheral blood, and bone marrow. These multipotent cells have the ability for self-renewal, proliferation and differentiation into variety of cell types, migratory abilities, and secretion of protective factors. These properties underscore their enormous potential for applications in regenerative medicine and development of cell therapies. For such applications, expansion of hMSCs to hundreds of billion or trillion of cells will be essential for developing cost-effective therapies.
